Content Management Systems and even blog software today is mainly page-orientated, meaning that you can built an article from text, links and other media items. The downside is that this content does not display context. 

Fullstory uses an innovative approach to allow editors to put together "complete stories", collecting a variety of items related to one subject. The backend uses AJAX for drag-and-drop editing and provides acces to APIs. You can search for content in the editor, on sites such as Flickr, Slideshare, YouTube, Vimeo, etc. 

The system is currently integrated into DWs IT-infrastructure.
